Eldon Communications Department

The Communications Department operates 24 hours per day 7 days per week answering emergency and non-emergency calls of services for the City of Eldon.  The Communications Department/Dispatch consists of six full-time employees and one part-time employee. An average of 9,600 calls for service are received each year.

The Communications Department dispatches for the city Police Department, Fire Department, Animal Control and Public Works after hours, which includes water/waste water and street department.

Communications Operators are trained to answer various types of calls, gather correct information and dispatch to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.

The number one goal is safety; safety for the responding units and the citizens of Eldon.

The Communication Department for the Eldon Department of Public Safety is monitored under Police Chief Brian Kidwell and is supervised by Holly Boggs,
